Being Drunk is Not a Sin

"One time I had gone to a party and drank, and while I was with a group of people this guy I met through another friend started touching me inappropriately. Luckily I wasn't too incapacitated to where I had the energy to keep saying no. Unfortunately at the time, I was too scared to physically get up and leave. I still don't know why. I was able to escape the situation, but the next day the same guy messaged me and was trying to play it cool as in he acted like he did not do anything wrong. I cursed him out and the response was “since when is touching girls a crime?” on top of a couple of other bullshit things. This was not my first negative sexual experience with men, but for some reason, those words triggered a big awakening for me. I went from thinking this is bound to happen to women everywhere to knowing although this may be true, there need to be tremendous efforts to try and prevent it. That’s when I first started learning about feminism."
